Demure within
a screen name
free to be
who the world
does not know you are
safe behind the curtain
the light misses you
and shines only
on your words
I would push you out
did I not know
what it is
to be afraid
so instead
of on your back
my hands
will fold in prayer
that soon you will see
you have
nothing to hide
